Manchester City – Sporting Free Betting Tips
After losing 0-5 in Lisbon, perhaps even the most optimistic Sporting supporters no longer believe in qualification. An eventual victory of the Portuguese with a 5 goals difference is already a science fiction.
The gap between the 2nd place occupant in Portugal and the first place in the Premier League has proved to be too big. Sporting finished the second leg 0-5 down, conceding 4 goals in the first half, managing only 3 goalscoring phases throughout the match and no shots on goal. Manchester City’s goal scorers in the second leg included Silva (2 goals), Mahrez, Sterling and P. Foden.
On Sunday, Manchester City edged past rivals Manchester United 4-1, with Manchester United massively dominating the mood on the pitch and scoring the goals through De Bruyne and Mahrez, both scoring two goals each.
Sporting’s players probably don’t even feel like getting on a plane to England, as they are left to concentrate on the championship, where they are 6 points behind FC Porto, and the return leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-final, where they were beaten 1-2 at home by the same FC Porto in the first leg.
On the other side, Manchester City probably sees this match as a “training match” and it is very likely that Pep Guardiola will introduce players that he hasn’t used much this season. Even so, the competition for a starting spot in Manchester City’s camp is very high and I expect the ‘second team’ to try and give the fans a show, which is why I’m betting on a two-goal win for Manchester City.
